Charles Albert Reed allegedly was caring for the girl at his home on Graystone Road in East Hempfield Township when the incident happened in November 2019. It was reported to the police on April 5, 2022.
Reed was arrested on September 1 and charged with a felony for Unlawful Contact with Minor- Sexual Offenses, as well as two misdemeanors for Indecent Assault Person Less than 13 Years of Age and count of Corruption of Minors, according to the release by the police.
He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Brian Chudzik and he remains in the Lancaster County Prison after his bail was set at $100,000, police say.
